2017 College Football National Championship: Kickoff Time And Everything You Need To Know Before You Go

Find out about parking, entertainment and other must-know things before Alabama and Clemson meet up at Raymond James Stadium.

TAMPA, FL — With the date for the Alabama and Clemson faceoff in the 2017 College Football Playoff National Championship at Raymond James Stadium here, the folks at the Tampa Sport Authority are trying to get the word out about parking, entertainment and other details fans need to know.

Here’s a rundown of all the must-know information fans need to have before the Jan. 9 game:

Parking at Raymond James Stadium

Parking lots around the stadium are set to open at 11:30 Jan. 9. It is strongly recommended that fans with game tickets buy parking passes in advance to ease traffic congestion. Tickets are available online at CFP.CLICKANDPARK.COM. They are reserved for fans with game tickets only.

Those who don’t purchase passes before the game will find limited cash parking available surrounding the stadium. The costs and details for parking are as follows:

  • Cars, $50. Pre-Paid Parking: Lots 1, 2, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and Jesuit High School and Al Lopez Park. Pre-Paid ADA Parking: Lots A and C will also have spaces.
  • RVs, $150. Pre-Paid Parking: Lot 14. There is no overnight parking available on stadium property.
  • Limousines, $125. Pre-Paid Parking: Hillsborough Community College (HCC)
  • Motorcycles, $50. Lot 14
  • Bus, $150. Pre-Paid Parking Lot 14 or Hillsborough Community College (HCC)

Ride Share Information

Fans who take Uber or Lyft to the game will be dropped off at the mass transit hub near the pedestrian bridge. The pickup point will be the rideshare area at Steinbrenner Field, which is northwest of Raymond James.

The box office is set to open at noon Jan. 9 for will call tickets and for fans who have issues with their tickets.

Championship Tailgate

This free event is open to all ticketholders. It’s set to take place from noon until 6:30 p.m.

The headliner is Dierks Bentley with opening act The Shadowboxers.

Stadium Entry and Times

Stadium gates open at 5:30 p.m. with the pregame show set to start at 7:30 p.m. Little Big Town will perform the National Anthem prior to the 8 p.m. kickoff.

Stadium Policies

Guests can expect to be screened before entry. There is no re-entry allowed on game day.

  • Binocular cases, camera bags
  • Cans and bottles
  • Coolers
  • Fireworks
  • Food and/or drinks
  • Glass
  • Lasers
  • Pets with the exception of service animals
  • Recreational balls
  • Selfie sticks or extenders
  • Strollers
  • Video cameras
  • Drones
