Fire At Tampa Apartment Building Injures 1 Person, 3 Units Damaged
One adult was taken to the hospital in stable condition after an apartment caught fire in Tampa Tuesday night.
TAMPA, FL — One adult was taken to the hospital in stable condition after an apartment caught fire in Tampa Tuesday night and caused smoke damage to three other apartments.
At 9:17 p.m., the Hillsborough County Fire Rescue dispatch center began receiving calls reporting a first-floor apartment on fire at 7522 Needle Leafe Place off 56th Street in Tampa.
The first arriving truck confirmed heavy fire coming out of the window of the first-floor apartment. Using fire hoses, firefighters began attacking the fire within 10 minutes after the first 911 call.

Because of this quick response, they were able to limit the blaze to the apartment of origin, the department said.
There was no one inside the apartment when firefighters arrived but one person who got out of the building was taken to the hospital.

The investigations unit is looking into the cause of the fire.
