120 Illegal Turtles Found In Man's Home; Pleads Guilty To Trafficking

A 48-year-old Spring Hill man has pleaded guilty to two counts of Lacey Act Trafficking after Tampa police officers found several 300-gallon pools filled with 120 turtles intended for trafficking in his home. The turtles were turned over to a wildlife rehabilitator who works with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

Firefighter Dies In Crash On Interstate 4: Officials

An off-duty Polk County firefighter died early Nov. 18 in a crash on Interstate 4 in Davenport, according to authorities and reports. Polk County Fire Rescue confirmed Brian Herr, a 41-year-old firefighter and paramedic from Wesley Chapel, died in the one-vehicle crash.

Hillsborough County Fire Rescue saved two dogs from a burning home in Valrico after multiple 911 callers reported smoke coming from the eaves of the house. Firefighters found an air-conditioner on fire.

Nick Hogan, the 33-year-old son of wrestling icon and former TV personality Hulk Hogan, is being charged on suspicion of driving under the influence, per media reports. Hogan, whose real name is Nicholas Bollea, was pulled over after being accused of speeding and failing to yield to officers who were conducting a traffic stop.

A man was convicted on charges related to the fatal shooting of another man attending a memorial service in Manatee County. Troy Davis Sr. was convicted of second-degree murder, conspiracy to tamper with a witness and harassing a witness following a trial.
