Pam Bondi is expected to accept a post in President-elect Donald Trump's White House.

TAMPA, FL — Florida may soon be in need of a new attorney general. Pam Bondi is reportedly set to accept a position in President-elect Donald Trump’s administration.

Word of the possible appointment broke Thursday, but Bondi herself has not yet confirmed a decision to trade her office in Tallahassee for one in the White House.

Bondi has long been speculated as being on Trump’s list of potential hires, but her name was not a roster of appointments Trump announced Wednesday. Even so, multiple media outlets are reporting that Bondi, a long-time Trump supporter, will accept a position in the nation’s capital. Exactly what role she’ll serve in remains unclear.

Bondi was asked about the possible appointment during a Tampa appearance Thursday morning. She declined comment, saying she was happy being attorney general, the Tampa Bay Times reported.
