Sonny's BBQ Offers Spicy Gratitude To MacDill Service Members
Sonny's BBQ served meals to 175 service men and women to thank them for the extra hours they've been working during the Israel-Hamas crisis.
TAMPA, FL — Instead of heading to the canteen for lunch, on Nov. 15, service men and women were treated to a spicy barbecue meal by Sonny's BBQ to thank the military for its service.
"The event went well," said Montana Coleman, senior manager of public relations and communications for Sonny's BBQ. "We fed 175 Marine Corps service members at the MacDill Air Force Base. They've been working around the clock with everything that's happening in the Middle East, so the appreciation meal came at a really good time.
"They also shared that they recently had to cancel their Marine Corps ball this year. so this was another way to thank them for everything they're doing to keep us all safe," she said.
