5 Things to Do Easter Weekend

From a sunrise service at the Pier Easter morning to neighborhood Easter Egg Hunts Saturday, there are plenty of activities in the 'burg this weekend.

Easter is a time of hope and renewal. St. Petersburg offers an array of holiday and springtime activities. You may want to grab a jacket and gloves before heading out.

1.) Saturday Morning Market should be bursting with springtime flowers and fresh locally grown produce for shoppers; 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Al Lang Stadium parking lot.

2.) How does the Easter Bunny get everything done? The Historic Kenwood Easter Egg Hunt takes place at Seminole Park. Or hop over to the Historic Old Northeast Neighborhood Association's Easter Egg Hunt at Flora Wylie Park. Both are at 10 a.m. Saturday.

3.) The Tampa Bay Rays' final Spring Training Game is Saturday, 1:10 p.m., with the Rays playing the Detroit Tigers at Tropicana Field.

4.) The St. Petersburg Pier is the perfect spot for a sunrise Easter Service.
The free ecumenical worship service will begin at 6:30 a.m. Parking in the City parking lots approaching the Pier costs $3. Trolleys will be available beginning at 5:30 a.m. Music is offered by the Salvation Army Band, under the direction of Bandmaster Fred Chamberlain, before and during the service, as well as the Unity A Cappella Gospel Ensemble. Reverend Doug McMahon, Director of Campus Ministries and Chaplain, Eckerd College will deliver a sermon, "All Our Griefs - All Our Losses."

5.) The Pier is hosting Musicfest By the Bay, featuring the Green Flash Band,  from 1-4 p.m. Greenflash performs Old School Soul, Classic Rock, Reggae, Southern Rock, Buffett and new Rock.
