1. Rays Take on Mariners
Head to Tropicana Field this weekend to catch your Tampa Bay Rays chasing for a playoff spot against the Seattle Mariners. Friday and Saturday's game begins at 7:10 p.m. After Saturday night's game, don't forget to stay after the final out to check out pop artist Gavin Degraw as part of the Rays summer concert series.

Get out of the heat at the 24th Annual Cool Art Show July 21 and 22 from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. at St. Petersburg’s historic located at 535 4th Avenue North. Approximately 80 artists have been selected to exhibit their collection of visual and functional creations in paint, wood, ceramics, photography, metal, glass, mixed media and jewelry. Admission and parking are free.
4. Toubab Krewe at Jannus Live
Jannus Live welcomes Toubab Krewe of Asheville, N.C., to St. Pete Friday night. He is described as an "instrumental powerhouse that creates a sonic Pangaea that lustily swirls together rock, African traditions, jam sensibilities, international folk strains and more." Admission is $5 and the show starts at 8 p.m.
5. "The Foreigner" at
American Stage Theatre Company presents the comedy "The Foreigner," which shows what happens when a group of devious characters meet a stranger they think understands no English. British demolition expert Froggy LeSeuer introduces his painfully shy friend Charlie as an exotic foreigner who speaks no English. The fun begins once Charlie is left alone with other guests and overhears more than he should about a sinister plan, a pregnancy, and more. Tickets start at $29 and the show starts at 3 p.m.
