Accused Armed Robber Sought By Cops: Video

St. Petersburg Police are asking for help locating a man accused of robbing a store at gunpoint.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — The St. Petersburg Police Department is asking residents for help locating a 44-year-old man wanted in connection with a recent armed robbery.

According to the agency, Patrick Demetrious Cummings walked into the Walgreens at 3077 54th Ave. S. around 4:10 a.m. March 24. Police say Cummings approached a clerk, pulled out a gun and demanded all the cash from the register.

Police say they have established probable cause for Cummings’ arrest, but have not revealed how they connected him to the case. He now faces armed robbery with a deadly weapon charges.

Cummings is described as standing 5-foot-8. He weighs an estimated 150 pounds and has a short afro and beard, police say.
