Arrest Made In St. Pete Man’s Murder
A New Port Richey man faces murder charges following the Saturday shooting death of a St. Petersburg man.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — St. Petersburg Police have announced an arrest in a Saturday shooting that left a 37-year-old man dead. Jermaine L. Bradford, 34, of New Port Richey faces second degree murder charges in the case.
According to the police department, Bradford was interviewed by detectives Monday in regard to the death of George Hall, 37. Detectives charged him with second degree murder following that interview.

The shooting occurred around 2:30 a.m. April 15 in the 1800 block of 49th Street South. When police arrived on the scene, they found Hall suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper body, an email from the agency said. Hall was taken to Bayfront Health, but died from his injuries at 3:20 a.m. Saturday.
On Monday, police issued a plea for witnesses to the shooting to come forward. It is unclear at this time if tips led detectives to Bradford.

Bradford was booked into the Pinellas County Jail following his Monday arrest. He was being held Tuesday without bond, jail records indicate. Police noted that Bradford is on federal probation following a drug possession charge.
