Banner-Pulling Plane Crashes At Albert Whitted
St. Petersburg Fire Rescue crews responded to a single-engine plane crash Thursday afternoon.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — As the cause of a single-engine plane crash at Albert Whitted Airport on Thursday afternoon remains under investigation, authorities say no injuries were involved.
According to St. Petersburg Fire & Rescue, its crews were called to the 107 8th Ave. S.E. airport just before 12:30 p.m. March 9. When they arrived, they found a single-engine plane that is used to pull banners crashed just off the runway.
The plane, an email from fire rescue said, skidded off the runway. That caused its landing gear to collapse.
