Group is dedicated to keeping the Tampa Bay Rays in St. Petersburg.

St. Petersburg, FL – Many civic leaders across the region are united in keeping the Tampa Bay Rays and Major League Baseball in the area. One community group is committed to keeping the Rays in the only home they’ve ever known: St. Petersburg.
Baseball Forever St. Pete has scheduled a summer-long campaign dedicated to showcasing the community’s support for baseball staying in St. Petersburg. The campaign will culminate with Baseball Forever Night at Tropicana Field on Friday, Aug. 19 at 7:10 p.m. when the Rays play the Texas Rangers.
The group’s goal is to sell out Tropicana field to show the Tampa Bay Rays how much St. Petersburg supports the team.
“This is an opportunity for residents and visitors who support Baseball Forever in St. Petersburg to demonstrate that support by cheering on our hometown Rays,” said Mayor Rick Kriseman.
Lower-level tickets for the Aug. 19 game are available for $25, which includes a Rays cap. Upper-level tickets are available for $10. Tickets are available online at www.RaysBaseball.com/BaseballForever. Group tickets for parties of 10 or more can be purchased directly from the Rays by e-mailing Josh Gallo at jgallo@raysbaseball.com. Group tickets are fee-free and include a welcome message on the board.
