Bayshore Drive Holiday Closure To Vehicles: St. Pete Police

A portion of Bayshore Drive will be closed to vehicle traffic certain days of December to provide safety for numerous pedestrians.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Pedestrians won't have to share a certain road with vehicles when deputies have Bayshore Drive N.E. closed for safety, St. Pete police said in a news release.

Authorities have seen an increase of pedestrians visiting the Pier for the holidays. Bayshore Drive N.E. will be closed to vehicle traffic from Central Avenue to Fifth Avenue N.E. near the Vinoy Saturday, Dec. 18, and on Christmas Day from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

This is a temporary closure for pedestrian safety during the holidays.
