Driver Dies After Crashing Into Tree On I-275: FL Highway Patrol
A St. Petersburg man died after losing control of his SUV and hitting a tree along I-275 on Sunday evening, Florida Highway Patrol said.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A 53-year-old St. Petersburg man died after losing control of his SUV and hitting a tree along Interstate 275 on Sunday evening, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
The crash happened just before 6:30 p.m. near milepost 26 at 54th Avenue N.
The driver lost control and drove off the road into the outside shoulder before hitting the tree, FHP said.
