Speeding Car Lost Control On I-275 St. Petersburg Killing Driver In Wreck

The Florida Highway Patrol investigated a fatal single-car crash Sunday in Pinellas County.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A 32-year-old man crashed his car into a tree off Interstate 275 in St. Petersburg during the weekend after he lost control of his vehicle, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Troopers said he died when his speeding car smashed into a guardrail and then into a tree Sunday at about 3:40 a.m. He lost control of his car and that caused it to run off the road, according to detectives.

No other vehicles were involved.
