Easter Homicide Suspect Arrested
St. Petersburg Police have arrested the suspected in a homicide that occurred during a home invasion on Easter this year.
John Curry, the suspected wanted for an was arrested on Aug. 1 in Blountstown, Florida by deputies with the Calhoun County
Sheriff's Office in conjunction with the US Marshalls Fugitive Task Force.
According to police, Curry was arrested without resistance and is in custody in the Calhoun County Jail awaiting transport back to Pinellas County on the charge of 1st degree murder.
Police said homicide detectives obtained a first-degree murder warrant for Curry related to the of Tamika Lashond Mack and the attempted murder of Tore V. Holley, both at 4034 11 Ave. S.

Detectives believe that Curry, 22, was one of two armed suspects who entered the residence during a home invasion robbery. During the robbery, police said both Mack and Holley were shot multiple times by the suspects.
Holley managed to flee to a neighbor's home for help and officers responding to the scene found Mack inside the residence unresponsive. She was transported to the hospital, but died later that morning.
