Festivals of Speed Roars Into St. Pete

The world's most luxurious and elite vehicles will have a beauty pageant in beautiful downtown St. Pete.

From Aston Martin to Rolls Royce, St.  Petersburg hosts a Who's Who of motorsports' Fortune 500 list during the 10th  annual Festivals of Speed in Vinoy Park on Sunday, April 7, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m..

The event  showcases some of the world's finest vintage and contemporary makes and models  of automobiles, motorcycles, and watercraft in the park and along portions of  Fifth Ave. NE.

Here's what visitors can expect:

  • Luxury lifestyle accessories and automotive art displays, gourmet food to sample, fine wines and spirits, on-site cigar lounges as smooth jazz floats over the waterfront.
  • Ride & Drive event at the Renaissance Vinoy Resort. Tickets for Sunday's event are available at www.festivalsofspeed.com.  


Parking for event

Parking is available at either of the two  city-owned garages - MidCore/BayWalk, accessible from Second St. N., between  First and Second Aves. N. or at South Core, accessible from First Ave. S.,  between First and Second Sts. Parking fees vary at each location.

Road closures and getting around downtown

To accommodate the display of exotic machinery, Fifth Ave. NE will be closed
from Bayshore Dr. NE to Vinoy Park and along Bayshore Dr. from Fifth Ave. NE
to Seventh Ave. NE beginning at 6 a.m. Sunday.

Roads will re-open shortly following the event.

Motorists who park on-street, including residential parking permit holders,
should move vehicles from the affected area by 6 a.m. to avoid receiving a
citation and having their vehicle relocated.

No Parking signs will be posted  and parking meters will be "bagged" in the event area to warn motorists.
