Fatal Motorcycle Crash Closes All Directions Of 5th Avenue North Friday Afternoon: Cops

Drivers who usually take Fifth Avenue North will need to find a detour Friday afternoon as detectives investigate a fatal crash.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Update: Fifth Avenue North is closed in all directions from 28th Street North to 34th Street North, according to police. A crash between a motorcyclist and a black Infinit occurred Friday afternoon at the intersection of Fifth Avenue North and 31st Street North. All lanes of 31st Street North are also closed between Dartmouth and Sixth Avenue North.

Investigators said drivers can expect this intersection to be closed for several hours. The motorcyclist has died, authorities said.
