FL Firefighter Charged With DUI After Reaching Speeds Of 100 MPH
An off-duty Gulfport firefighter was charged with driving under the influence after hitting speeds of more than 100 mph, PCSO said.

PASADENA, FL — An off-duty Gulfport firefighter was arrested early Thursday morning and charged with driving under the influence, according to a Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office news release.
Deputies saw Scott Miller, 24, driving his pickup truck recklessly through a residential area near Pasadena Avenue and Park Street around 1 a.m.
Miller reached speeds of more than 100 mph before his arrest, the sheriff’s office said.

After being pulled over, deputies saw that he “exhibited multiple indicators of impairment, including the distinct odor of an alcoholic beverage and bloodshot, glassy eyes,” the agency said.
Miller also refused to perform field sobriety tests and declined to provide a breath sample.

He was charged with one count of driving under the influence and booked into Pinellas County Jail.
