Five Things You Need to Know Today: Feb. 12
Single-game tickets go on sale for St. Petersburg's first International Baseball season. There's a 10K/Fun Run downtown for charity. And Valentine's Day is just two days away.

1.) Pediatric Services of Florida’s 9th Annual 10K/5K Suncoast Classic will be held at Baywalk . The USATF-Certified 10k/5k will start promptly at 8 a.m., followed by the Pelican Mile, at 9 a.m., and the Kids Fun Run, at 9:30 a.m. The run benefits Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Tampa Bay. You can register on the morning of the race, as early as 6 a.m.
2.) Single-game tickets go on sale today for St. Pete's inaugural International Baseball Season. They are available at the ball field box office; $6 general admission and $10 for reserved seating. Now that's a deal. Click here for details on purchasing.
3.) Sunrise Flour Mill of Minnesota, specializing in organic grains, is the guest vendor at the Saturday Morning Market, which runs from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. today, in the parking lot of Al Lang Field. The usual array of locally grown and handcrafted foods will be featured. You betcha.

4.) Two days and counting until Valentine's Day. Why not do something simple and elegant, like buying your sweetie some gourmet chocolate desserts from the Royal Brownie Co. in downtown St. Pete?
5.) The Florida Orchestra plays pieces from "The Great American Songbook," featuring classics by Johnny Mercer, George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, Jerome Kern, Richard Rodgers, Irving Berlin and more.
