Free Flu Shot For Vaccine Week In St. Pete
The Florida Department of Health Pinellas County locations are offering free flu shots to residents who haven't been able to afford them.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — If you've been unable to afford a flu shot, the Florida Department of Health in Pinellas County is offering free flu vaccines for National Influenza Vaccination Week.
Early December is a good time to get protected if you plan to be around family and friends for Christmas because it usually takes it about two weeks for the vaccine to be effective, health officials said.
No-cost flu vaccines are offered by appointment until Fri., Dec. 11, at the Pinellas County Department of Health locations in St. Petersburg, Mid-County, Clearwater and Tarpon Springs.

The public can schedule a no-cost vaccine by calling (727) 824-6900. Due to coronavirus precautions, no walk-ins will be accepted.
