ST. PETERSBURG, FL — St. Petersburg police want to reunite a German Shepherd mix that got away from his home with his owner.

A St. Pete officer saw the dog walking alone in the area of 17th Avenue North and 41st Street North Thursday, and gave him a ride in a patrol car to the St. Pete Animal Hospital, 3165 22nd Avenue North, according to a twitter post.
