Girl, 5, Hospitalized In FL After Eating THC Gummies, Caretaker Arrested
A woman caring for a 5-year-old girl was arrested after the child was hospitalized Sunday for eating THC gummies, St. Pete police said.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A 5-year-old girl was hospitalized Sunday night after eating THC gummies, according to a St. Petersburg police news release.
Detectives arrested Danielle Newton, who was caring for the girl, for neglect of a child causing bodily harm.
The girl was brought to the hospital for medical treatment because she was lethargic around 10:30 p.m., police said.

Officers responded to the hospital, where they learned she had eaten THC gummies.
The child remains hospitalized in stable condition, police said.
