Historic Neighborhood Talk at the Vinoy Hotel Thursday

The public is invited to attend the reception and talk, hosted by St. Pete Preservation.

St. Pete Preservation is reminding folks about a Thursday evening program on historic neighborhoods that it is hosting that the historic Vinoy Hotel.

The talk is titled "Not in my Backyard - Do We Really Support Historic Preservation?" The topic is certainly provocative in Florida, known as a development-friendly state.

There will be a reception with appetizers and a cash bar, starting at 6 p.m. The program is at 7 p.m., in the downstairs meeting space.

The talk is underwritten by a grant from the Florida Humanities Council.

St. Pete Preservation is asking guesrs to message in advance, with "NIMBY Program" in the subject line. Let the organizagtion know how many people are expected in your group, so that there are enough seats for everyone.
