FL Homeowner Fatally Shot Home Invasion Suspect; 2nd Suspect Sought

A St. Pete homeowner fatally shot a home invasion suspect early Thursday, police said. A second suspect who left the home is still sought.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A St. Petersburg homeowner fatally shot a home invasion suspect early Thursday morning and a second suspect fled from the scene, authorities said.

Two men entered a home on 40th Street N. around 2 a.m., St. Petersburg police said.

The homeowner fired shots, injuring one of the men, 20-year-old Marcel James Williams. He was brought to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
