Chance to See a (John) Legend
Legend will offer an evening of spoken word as well as some of his well-known songs in a benefit show.
“An Intimate Evening with John Legend” will take place at St. Pete’s own Mahaffey Theater tonight.
Legend will be performing a spoken word presentation, as well as some of his well-known songs.
The evening, which is scheduled to kick off at 8 p.m., will be a mix of Legend’s personal reflections on the importance of education as well as a specific selection of music.

Unlike his touring concerts, Tuesday’s show will focus on benefitting the United Way of Tampa Bay’s cause and Legend’s own belief in what it stands for.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the United Way of Tampa Bay. The United Way of Tampa Bay is an organization that seeks to support regional neighborhoods with a primary emphasis on education programs for the area’s youth.

Legend is a Grammy Award-winning artist whose soulful jams resonate among young and old.
He has had three top-10 albums since his first album, "Get Lifted," was released in 2004.
