Lanes Closed for Sanitary Sewer Project

People are urged to find alternate routes starting Monday, March 25, as crews work on underground utility work at 31st St. S. and 54th Ave S. in St. Pete.

Starting Monday, March 25, the intersection of southbound 31st St S. will be closed at 54th Ave S. for construction, according to the city.

People are urged to find an alternate route, as crews begin work on underground utility work. Officials say the work is part of a sanitary sewer improvement project and is expected to last until mid-April.

The northbound lanes of 31st St. S. and 54th Ave S. I-275 access will be open but with reduced traffic, the city says. Drivers are encouraged to use the 62nd Ave S. exit and on-ramps until the work is completed and re-opened to traffic on April 20.
