Man, 26, Charged In St. Pete Teen’s Murder
A 26-year-old man faces first-degree murder charges in connection with the murder of a teenager in 2015.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — The St. Petersburg Police Department has announced an arrest in the Nov. 10, 2015, shooting death of Lenny Acosta, 16.
According to the agency, detectives arrested Jesse Paul Greene, 26, on March 8. Greene’s Wednesday night arrest was announced late Thursday afternoon.
Police say Acosta was shot and killed at his home in the 2000 block of Langdon Avenue South during a robbery. Acosta was the target of that robbery, an email from the police department said.

“Investigators learned of Greene’s involvement in the case shortly after Acosta’s murder, but it took months to sort through evidence and investigate other suspects,” the email said.
Greene was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on first-degree murder charges. He was being held Thursday without bond.
