Man, 42, Dies After St. Pete Shooting

St. Petersburg Police say a 42-year-old man died after an early Wednesday morning shooting.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — The St. Petersburg Police Department is investigating an early Wednesday morning shooting that resulted in the death of a 42-year-old man.

According to the agency, officers were called to the Crab Paradise rental pool hall, 3074 18th Ave. S., around 3 a.m. July 5. When they arrived, they found Lamant Lisbon of St. Petersburg suffering from a gunshot wound. Lisbon was found just outside the building’s door in the parking lot.

Lisbon died while being transported to the hospital, the police department wrote in a media release.

“Investigators believe some sort of dispute led to the shooting,” the release said.

Suspect information is not available. Police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to contact them at 727-893-7780.

A similar shooting was also reported in Gulfport, but St. Petersburg investigators do not believe the two cases are connected. In the Gulfport case, a 31-year-old man died after a July 4 shooting in the 2600 block of Miriam Street.
