Girl Got Off The Bus When Suspect Showed His Penis To Her: Police

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A 34-year-old St. Petersburg man exposed himself to a minor on a city bus Friday, St. Pete police said.

Lionel Thompson, 34, was arrested and faces charges of sexual battery on a person under 12 years old and exposure of sexual organs, according to police.

A girl waited for transportation at a bus stop Friday when Thompson sat near her, St. Pete Police Department documents said.

The girl got on the bus following its arrival, and Thompson sat in front of her, the police documents reported.

As the bus traveled, Thompson is accused by police of pulling down his shorts and underwear facing the girl then sexually touching himself while staring at her.

The victim got off the bus at an upcoming stop as she spoke on the phone with a friend about the incident.

Thompson was later arrested by St. Pete police.

Thompson has been a registered sex offender in the state since 2008, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
