Man Fatally Shot While Driving Away From Fight At Club: Police
A man died after being shot while driving away from a St. Petersburg club when a fight broke out early Sunday morning, police said.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Detectives are seeking information about an early Sunday morning shooting at a night club that led to a 27-year-old man’s death in a crash as he drove away from the scene, according to a St. Petersburg Police Department news release.
A fight broke out in a club near the corner of 9th Avenue South and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Street South. The fight continued into the parking lot and a vacant lot outside the club and several shots were fired around 3:20 a.m.
Delvin Jaquez Ford was shot while trying to drive away from the scene and he crashed into a pole across the street, police said.

He was brought to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital, where he died of his injuries a short time later.
A second victim, a 26-year-old woman, was hit in the leg and is in stable condition.
