Man Killed While Crossing Street In Largo: FL Highway Patrol

LARGO, FL — A man was hit and killed by an SUV while crossing a street on New Year’s Day, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.

The 72-year-old Largo man was crossing Ulmerton Road, near the intersection of 34th Street N., around 6:40 p.m. when he entered the SUV’s path.

The SUV was driven by a 60-year-old Tampa woman. Her status wasn’t reported by the agency.

The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was brought to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
