Day Before New Year's Eve Man Shot In St. Petersburg Neighborhood

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A shooting occurred in the Coquina Key area Thursday that injured a male victim, St. Pete police said.

The victim was shot in the 3700 block of Manatee Dr. S.E. shortly after 5 p.m., according to investigators. Before the officers arrived, the victim left the location and shortly later called police from another location. His injuries are non-life-threatening, deputies said.
