Man Stabbed Another To Death In St. Pete: Police

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A man was arrested and charged in the fatal stabbing of another man Friday night in St. Petersburg, authorities said.

The stabbing happened around 8:30 p.m. outside a multifamily home on Queensboro Avenue S.. according to a St. Petersburg Police Department news release.

Officers found the victim, 56-year-old George Hudson, suffering from a stab wound when they arrived. They did CPR until he was brought to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Investigators learned that Hudson argued with Jonathan Conyers, 49, earlier that evening, police said.

Officers found Conyers just before 3 a.m. and arrested him.

He was charged with first-degree murder and booked into the Pinellas County Jail.
