Man Stalked Multiple Women, Stood Outside Their Bedrooms: St. Pete Police
A man drove to St. Petersburg from his Manatee County home to stalk women outside their bedroom windows, police said.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A Manatee County man was arrested and charged with multiple counts of stalking and voyeurism involving five different St. Petersburg women he targeted over several weeks, authorities said.
William Copher, 49, would drive to St. Petersburg from his Palmetto home to stand outside his victims’ bedroom windows, St. Petersburg police said in a news release.
Witnesses saw him “engaging in lewd acts at least twice,” police added.

He also left a package of sex toys for one victim.
Police received the first complaint on June 30. Investigators were able to connect several incidents that followed to Copher.

Investigators believe there may be additional victims.
