Man Went Missing Near Derby Lane Days Ago: Sheriff

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is asking for help locating a 34-year-old man reported missing from the St. Petersburg area.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Pinellas County Sheriff’s deputies are asking folks to keep an eye out for a 34-year-old man who hasn’t been seen for days.

According to the sheriff’s office, Rang Truong was last seen getting out of a vehicle around 2:45 p.m. Dec. 27 near the Derby Lane greyhound track at 10490 Gandy Blvd. N.

“Truong was agitated when he exited a family member’s vehicle and left the area on foot,” a Tuesday email from the sheriff’s office said. “Truong is from out of state and he is not familiar with the St. Petersburg area.”

Truong also required medication and does not have it with him, the email noted.

Truong is described as standing about 5-foot-8. He weighs an estimated 140 pounds and has short black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black shirt and red shoes.

Anyone with information about Truong’s whereabouts is asked to call local law enforcement immediately.
