Man In Wheelchair Dies in St. Pete Crash

ST. PETERSBURG, FL - Police are on the scene of a fatal crash involving a pickup truck and a motorized wheelchair that occurred on 1st Ave North and 55th Street North just after 3 p.m.

The driver of the motorized wheelchair has been identified as Mark Yne, 62, was transported to the hospital where he died, police said. The driver of the pickup truck, Patrick Watrous, is cooperating with investigators. No charges have been filed but the investigation is continuing.

Police say 1st Ave North is now open between 54th Street North and 57th Street North.
