Multiple Aerial Fire Rescue Units Worked To Control Massive Fire In Coffee Pot Bayou

St. Petersburg Fire Rescue, Largo Fire Rescue and Lealman Fire Rescue battled a massive fire that engulfed a two-story St. Pete home.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A Coffee Pot Bayou house went up in flames Sunday evening, St. Petersburg Fire Rescue said.

The million-dollar two-story home was going through a full renovation in the 2800 block of Coffee Pot Boulevard N.E. Fire shot through the first level and completely covered the house's staircase, according to photos. A huge cloud of smoke plummeted from the roof as the second story was engulfed in flames.

Luckily, no one was inside the house when the fire occurred since it was under renovations, investigators said.

Aerial fire units were used to put out hotspots in prevention of the fire spreading to neighborhood homes. Crews from Largo Fire Rescue and Lealman Fire Department assisted St. Pete Fire Rescue.

The cause of the fire has not been released.
