Police Arrest Suspect After Fight at Motel

On Monday around 11:27 a.m., St. Petersburg Police responded to a domestic fight call at the Crystal Inn Motel, 4600 34th St S.

According to police, the woman caller said she was having a fight with her boyfriend. She also said her boyfriend has active warrants for his arrest.

Officers confirmed the boyfriend is wanted for armed residential burglary and
domestic aggravated battery.

Jonathan Earnest Mix, 21, is charged with armed residential
burglary, (stemming from a previous investigation) and domestic aggravated battery (as a result of the events from Monday morning at the motel).

Mix, police said, is also a suspect for multiple other burglaries in the City and County, so more charges may be forthcoming in the near future.

A few nearby rooms at the motel were evacuated Monday while police were trying to locate Mix, who police said was hiding in one of the rooms.
