The break-in happend March 18 and was the second burglary at the home this year, according to St. Petersburg Police.

Images of two home burglary suspects were captured as they tried to destroy a security surveillance camera last month at a St. Petersburg home, according to police.

The incident happened around 8:38 pm March 18 at a home located in the 2800 block of 28th Street North, St. Petersburg Police said.

"The surveillance video captured images of the suspects as they started to break into the house via a rear window. After about 20 minutes the they apparently discover the surveillance camera and one suspect attempted to break it with a crowbar," said police spokesperson Mike Puetz in a news release.

It is at that point when the camera captured clear images of the suspects.

Police said the two men were able to break into the home, but no property was taken.

There had been another burglary to the home in February, which police say prompted the homeowner to install the surveillance system used in this case. No property was taken in that incident.
