Suspect Sought in Easter Homicide

St. Petersburg Police are searching for 22-year-old John Curry IV in connection with a homicide on Easter Sunday.
Curry, police said, has numerous tattoos that include the words, "Life," "Death," "Laniel" and "Mickey," on his neck; a skeleton in flames on the left upper arm; and a cross with praying hands on the right upper arm.
He was released from prison in 2011 on charges of sale, delivery and possession of cocaine.

According to police, homicide detectives have obtained a first-degree murder warrant for Curry related to the of Tamika Lashond Mack and the attempted murder of Tore V. Holley, both at 4034 11 Ave. S.
Detectives believe that Curry was one of two armed suspects who entered the residence during a home invasion robbery. During the robbery, police said both Mack and Holley were shot multiple times by the suspects.

Holley managed to flee to a neighbor's home for help and officers responding to the scene found Mack inside the residence unresponsive. She was transported to the hospital, but died later that morning.
Detectives believe that Curry is armed and dangerous and is aware that detectives are seeking to arrest him, police said.
Homicide detectives are offering a reward for information that leads to Curry's whereabouts and arrest. Anyone with information on Curry location is asked to call the St. Petersburg Police Department at 727-893-7780.
