The Inquirer puts the jackpot's rise in perspective:

In just one week, the top annuity prize, payable in 30 yearly checks, has risen by $108 million.

If this one rolls over, expect a new Powerball record, possibly shattering the $365 million annuity hit eight Nebraska food-plant workers in February 2006.

That one paid $177.3 million in cash.

Two Floridians won $1 million in Saturday's drawing — one in Tallahassee and another in Auburndale, according to Florida Lottery.

More than 138,000 Florida players won between $4 and $10,000 in the Saturday, August 11, Powerball draw.

The multi-state lottery game is sold in Florida and 43 other states and districts across the United States. Powerball is a product of the Multi-State Lottery Association.

Saturday's winning numbers were 04-13-39-46-5 and the Powerball was 01.
