Ricky P’s Orleans Bistro to Open in Place of Savannah’s Cafe

As St. Pete says farewell to Savannah's Cafe, a new southern style restaurant prepares to settle in its place.

New Orleans-bred Rick Parsons is a Cajun cuisine expert. He worked his first job as a sandwich maker at Jack’s Po Boys, which happened to be the Saints’ sandwich shop.

From there, Parsons continued to learn the tricks of the trade. As he grew in age, his knowledge in cooking and Cajun preparation expanded.

Now, Parsons has his own restaurant in downtown St. Petersburg.

With the success of his two Fourth Street locations (one at 6521 and the other at 1631 inside Bob Lee's Tire Station), Parsons is taking over the space that was best known as Savannah’s Cafe.

Ricky P’s Po Boy’s menu boasts New Orleans-style classics like Fried Cat-fish and Creole Jambalaya. Their specialty, the Shrimp Po-Boy Sandwich, combines Parsons sandwich making with his roots in Louisiana.
