St. Pete Hosts Art Auction Sunday

More than 360 paintings will be up for bid at a St. Petersburg auction house.

"Going once! Going twice!"

More than 360 paintings and works on paper from the 17th to the early
20th centuries will go on the block Sunday at Myers Fine Art, 1600 4th
St. North in St. Petersburg.

According to an article on tampabay.com, much of the art is considered "fresh-to-market."  The pieces for auction are detailed on the business' Facebook Page.

A number are from New York artists' who kept the work for themselves and never sold them previously.

Myers owner Mike Myers and his wife, Mary Dowd, have been assembling
the collection for about five years, according to tampabay.com. Works up for auction include a "WPA Era Expressionist painting by female artist Worden Day," according to Myers' Facebook Page.

While some items will definitely go for thousands, others are listed for
hundreds.
