St. Pete Man's Murder Prompts Plea For Help
St. Petersburg Police are asking for information that may lead to an arrest in a 37-year-old man's Saturday shooting death.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — As the St. Petersburg Police Department continues to investigate the shooting death of a 37-year-old man on Saturday, detectives are asking the public for help. Information that leads to an arrest in the homicide of George Hall may be worth a reward of up to $3,000.
According to the police department, officers were called out to the 1800 block of 49th Street South around 2:30 a.m. April 15. When they arrived, they found Hall “with gunshot wounds to the upper body,” an email from the agency said.

Hall was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, but was pronounced dead at 3:20 a.m.
“There were people in the area at the time of the murder,” the agency’s email said.

Anyone with information in the case is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 727-893-7780. Tips may also be texted to 847-411. Type in the keyword “SPPD” plus a tip if using this method to supply information.
Crime Stoppers is also accepting anonymous tips in the case. Tipsters may call 1-800-873-TIPS or go online to www.crimestoppersofpinellas.org. Crime Stoppers tips that lead to an arrest may be worth a reward of up to $3,000.
