ST. PETERSBURG, FL — The city of St. Petersburg opened a new drive-thru COVID-19 testing site Thursday as the omicron variant has caused an increased demand for tests, a city news release said.

The testing site will be open seven days a week, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Rapid Antigen testing and PCR are available to residents for free at Tropicana Field, lot 2. If you have health coverage, you will be asked to show your insurance card, city staff said.

No appointment is needed for its drive-up testing, but everyone is asked to pre-register at impacthealth.com/StPeteTrop prior to their visit. Drivers will line up southbound on 16th Street South and turn west on Third Avenue South to get to the testing area.
