St. Petersburg City Offices Closed 4th of July

The holiday on Monday will affect trash and recycling pickup.

St. Petersburg, FL – For residents within the city limits of St. Petersburg, the 4th of July holiday will interrupt regular trash and recycling service, among other city services.

During the holiday week, Monday, July 4 to Friday, July 8, the only changes for trash and recycling pickup days for St. Petersburg residential customers are:

  • Monday collections for garbage and recycling will be made on Tuesday.
  • Tuesday collections for garbage and recycling will be made Wednesday.
  • Thursday and Friday collections will remain the same.

In observance of the 4th of July holiday, St. Petersburg city government facilities that will close to the public include Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, City Hall and Municipal Services Center downtown, community libraries, recreation centers, the Coliseum, Enoch Davis Center, Jamestown Apartments-Townhomes office and Dwight H. Jones Neighborhood Center, Mahaffey Theater Duke Energy Center for the Arts, Sunshine Center and Sunken Gardens’ business office.

The following facilities will remain open to the public on the 4th of July holdiday:

  • Mangrove Bay, Cypress Links and Twin Brooks golf courses
  • The municipal beach concession stand on Treasure Island
  • The Municipal Marina Ship’s Store
  • North Shore Aquatic Complex and eight neighborhood pools
  • Sanitation Department Brush Sites
  • Sunken Gardens’ attraction
