St. Petersburg Police Announce Upcoming 'National Night Out'

National Night Out will be held Tuesday, Oct. 4 from 5-8 p.m.

St. Petersburg Police Department's annual National Night Out will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 4 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Target parkinglot (8151 Dr. MLK Jr. St. North).

National Night Out is an opportunity to promote police-community partnerships and raise crime prevention awareness. It is perfect for families and will include many activities for kids. The event is sponsored in part by State Rep. Kathleen Peters.

Activities include K9 demonstration, bike rodeo and free bike helmets, games, police and fire vehicles, Pinellas Sheriff's helicopter and food available for purchase from numerous vendors, including Menchies Frozen Yogurt, Heavy's Food Truck (soul food), Opiepo Food Truck (pizza), MMM Bap Food Truck (Korean cuisine) and Krepelicious Food Truck (sweet crepes).
