St. Petersburg Woman Killed in I-275 Crash

Breaking: A 28-year-old St. Petersburg woman was killed in a Thursday morning crash on I-275 at the 28th Street exit.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A 28-year-old St. Petersburg woman is dead and another woman seriously injured following a Thursday morning crash on Interstate 275 at the 28th Street exit ramp.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Ashlynn Harrington, 28, of Pinellas park was heading south on I-275, exiting onto 28th Street around 11:22 a.m. Sept. 22. Harrington, a patrol report said, lost control of her Pontiac G6 and left the road.

The car, troopers say, struck a tree.

Harrington and her passenger, Crystal Robinson, were both taken to Bayfront Health following the crash. Troopers say Robinson died from her injuries. Harrington suffered serious injuries.

Charges are pending the outcome of the patrol’s investigation.
