Teen Brothers Injured After Shooting Leads To FL Traffic Crash
Two teenage brothers were injured after a shooting lead to a south St. Petersburg traffic crash Thursday afternoon, police said.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Two teenagers were injured after a shooting led to a traffic crash in south St. Petersburg on Thursday afternoon, authorities said.
Officers responded to a call about a person shot at 17th Avenue South and 49th Street South just before 12:30 p.m., St. Petersburg police said.
They found two young men injured inside a crashed vehicle. A 19-year-old man had been shot, and his 18-year-old brother had been injured during the crash, but suffered no gunshot wounds, police said.

They were both brought to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital, where the 19-year-old was last listed in critical condition. His brother was in stable condition.

A car believed to have been involved in the incident was found and a person of interest was taken into custody, police said.
