Triple Shooting Not 'Random Act Of Violence,' Police Say
Three people were shot at a house in the 3800 block of 1st Avenue South Wednesday afternoon. One person died.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — As the St. Petersburg Police Department continues to investigate a Wednesday afternoon triple shooting, officers have released some details in the case. The shooting claimed the life of one man and sent two others to the hospital.
Authorities say the shooting in the 3800 block of 1st Avenue South has been determined to not be "a random act of violence." Officers are working to get a search warrant for the home where the shooting occurred.
The two males who survived the shooting were taken to a local hospital. One was critically injured, an email from the police department said. That person underwent surgery. The second victim's injuries are not life-threatening, the agency said.

Police are not releasing the identities of the victims at this time. The ages of the victims are not available either.
